Money Manager is a personal finance tool that gives you a continuously updated overview of all your accounts – including savings, checking, investments, credit cards, and even rewards programs – in one place, with one password. Use interactive tools to categorize spending, set budgets, and take control of your money.
Access your Card account virtually anywhere, at any time. Visit americanexpress.com on your mobile phone to schedule and pay your Card bill as well as track spending and Membership Rewards points.
Sign up for Account Alerts to stay informed about your Card when you're on the go. Receive Alerts by e-mail or text message and get notified of irregular activity, current balance, and more.
Take control of the family budget when you give them Additional Cards. 1 Set individual spending limits, and enjoy the convenience of having everyone's charges appear on the same statement. When you share your Card account with family members, you share virtually all the same benefits of Cardmembership – and you benefit by earning Membership Rewards® points on every eligible purchase they make.
When you use your Card to rent a car, you can receive Car Rental Loss and Damage Insurance at no additional cost. Then you're automatically covered if the car is damaged or stolen.
Should you run into car trouble 50 miles or more from home, you can call on Roadside Assistance 2 for help. It's a built-in benefit of your Card. Just call 1-800-333-AMEX in the U.S. and Canada to enroll.
Use your Card to purchase a Common Carrier ticket (plane, train, ship, helicopter, or bus), and the Baggage Insurance Plan 3 covers you against lost, stolen, or damaged baggage. You can get reimbursed up to $1,250 for carry-on items and up to $500 for checked baggage.
Contact the Global Assist® Hotline 4 for around-the-clock medical, legal, financial, or emergency assistance whenever you're more than 100 miles from home. You can get help with lost baggage and passports, recommendations for English-speaking doctors and lawyers, and more.
When something you buy is broken or stolen, it shouldn't be your problem. That's why if you use your Card for eligible purchases, Purchase Protection 1 protects them from accidental damage or theft for up to 90 days from the moment you buy them.
Return Protection 2 makes sure you get your refund when you change your mind about a purchase. If the store's return policy can't help, we'll cover up to $300 of your purchase price on every eligible item you buy with your Card, up to $1,000 each year.
Your Extended Warranty 3 benefit extends the original manufacturer's warranty on items purchased with your Card for up to an additional year.
Fraud Protection lets you use your Card with confidence online and in stores. In the event of suspicious charges appearing on your Card account, our dedicated Dispute Resolution team is prepared to help 24/7. Unlike debit cards, fraudulent and disputed charges are taken off your statement until the dispute is resolved.
Please visit americanexpress.com/cardreplacement. However, if you have recently changed your address, or you are requesting delivery to an alternate address, you must call our Card Replacement Unit at 1-800-297-8500 (if you are calling outside the U.S., you may call us collect at 1-336-393-1111).
Once your request is processed, you should receive your replacement card within 7 to 10 business days. Some American Express Travel Services Offices will provide emergency card replacement service. To locate the office nearest you, please click here.
If you need to open a dispute for a charge on your statement, the easiest way is to visit americanexpress.com/inquirycenter. Once here, click on "Open a new inquiry". Select the type of inquiry you have and then select the appropriate merchant charge. You will be able to find more information about the charge and, if necessary, open the dispute. It takes about 5 minutes and helpful information is provided along the way to make the steps as easy as possible.
If you have an American Express charge card, payment is due in full when you receive your monthly statement. The "pay in full" nature of the charge card assures Cardmembers that no finance charges will be assessed on the charge card balance. As a payment reminder, we include a "Please Pay By Date" on the statement, a suggested payment date that is two weeks after the statement closing date. Based on Cardmember eligibility and tenure, we offer flexible payment services to extend payment on certain transactions. Click here to learn more about paying charges over time.
Visit Account Services to order an Additional Card.
After selecting a Card, you will find an 'Order Additional Card' link under the Additional Cards section of the 'Additional Cards and Users' tab.
To cut down on mail and go paperless, sign up for paperless statements and receive an e-mail when your statement is ready to view online.
If you are already enrolled in paperless statements, but would like to turn your paper statement back on, visit americanexpress.com/statementoptions.

1 When you request that we apply a limit as described below on Charges incurred by an Additional Cardmember on your Account, you agree to these terms. These terms supplement, and are incorporated by reference into, the terms of your Cardmember Agreement.
At your request, we may agree to apply a limit to the total dollar amount of Purchases, during each billing period, that are charged to Card numbers associated with one or more specified Additional Cardmembers on your Account. At your request, we may agree to apply a limit to the total dollar amount of cash access transactions at ATMs and American Express Travel Service locations, during each billing period, that are made using Card numbers associated with one or more specified Additional Cardmembers on your Account. If we agree to apply a limit, it is not a guarantee that the Additional Cardmember will be able to make Purchases or cash access transactions up to the applicable limit. In applying any limit we will not take into account any credits (such as for returned merchandise or for payments), even if a credit relates to a Purchase made by the Additional Cardmember. Any request that we change a limit may not be effective until a subsequent billing period. Any Charges (as defined below) incurred by the Additional Cardmember prior to the date during a billing period that we apply the limit will not be subject to the limit for that billing period.
Because of systems or administrative considerations, arrangements with merchants, or for other business reasons, we may, but are not required to, treat some Purchases and/or cash access transactions (collectively, Charges) as not being subject to any such limits. You agree to pay all Charges without regard to whether any Charges exceed a limit, and you agree that we are not liable to you or any other person when a limit is not applied to any Charges and/or when Charges are incurred and billed that exceed a limit. While we typically require merchants to obtain an authorization for purchases and submit final transaction documentation for payment in a timely manner, a limit may not apply or may be exceeded when a merchant does not obtain an authorization for any reason; when a merchant obtains an authorization for a partial amount of the final charge submitted to us for payment; or when such submissions are not submitted or processed at the same time that the authorization is obtained. Examples may include, but are not limited to: Charges made outside of the U.S., in duty-free stores, or on board airplanes or cruise vessels; international airline ticket Purchases; vehicle rentals; lodging stays extended beyond original reservation period; certain mail order Purchases; Purchases billed on a recurring basis; Purchases at gas stations; telecommunications charges, including charges incurred with calling cards; taxicab charges; security deposits; late, damage or other fees in connection with rentals; Purchases billed in installments; restaurant tips and other gratuities; and Charges that occur before the end of billing period, if the Charge is posted to your Account after the Closing Date of that billing period. Any limit will not be applied to Charges for foreign currency or for Travelers Cheques or Gift Cheques obtained at a location other than an American Express Travel Service location or by telephone from us.
